This contains spoilers, so if you haven’t seen the Game of Thrones finale or you just started please do not read this!
As I watched Jon Snow walk pass Drogon. Drogon let him pass because he trusted him, Dani trusted him. She had no idea Jon was going to kill her. She was blinded by her love for him and from seeing her future on the Iron Throne. She trusted him so much she never saw the dagger coming.
This hit so close to home I cried for days on end. It reminded me of my past relationship. I trusted him so much as did my pup. I loved him with all my heart and I never saw the break-up coming. I was completely caught off guard. I didn’t see the dagger. Just like Drogon, Onyx is the one that never leaves my side. He is the one that picks up the pieces from my broken heart, my broken body.
Unlike Dani, this time around, I will rise from the ashes a new woman, with my pup by my side and my faith not lost because I know God has great things in store for me!
