As many of you know I recently celebrated my 38th birthday. My goodness I can’t believe I’m 38 years old. I graduated from high school 20 years ago. Wow, how time flies when you start to get older. I’m so different than I was 20 years ago, obviously. However, my love for birthdays has not changed. I have always been a person that has enjoyed birthdays. No, let me say this; I am a person who just likes to celebrate!

I will use any excuse to plan a party and celebrate. If somebody’s having a baby I wanna plan the baby shower. What was that, somebody’s getting married I wanna plan the bridal shower. It’s a birthday; I wanna plan the birthday party, birthday dinner, and all of the activities that go with the birthday. My aunt and uncle’s 50 anniversary, I want to plan the celebration! Whatever I just like to celebrate!

For my 38 birthday I didn’t really make a big deal out of it because I feel like my entire 2018 has been a celebration. Also, at the beginning of next year I am moving to another country. That in itself is going to be an adventure so I didn’t make a big deal out of my birthday. However, I still celebrated!!

We had dinner at the delicious Benihana. A few of my friends had never been there before so it was awesome to see their faces during the dinner, lol! It is just something so neat about sitting at the table watching the chef prepare the meal right in front of you. The chef always put on quite a show. I loved how he cracked jokes and asked how everyone was doing. He made sure all of us were happy with our meals and everything.

My best friend and I shared edamame to start. It was delicious. The sea salt always makes it taste better. The portion was pretty big but at Benihana you always get alot of food. Casey got the salmon and noodles and I went with filet and shrimp! It was a winner! I think we all kind of ordered the same thing. Either salmon, filet and shrimp, or scallops. The food was scrumptious! Benihana didn’t disappoint.

After we left there we went to Blue Martini. I’m really not a fan a blue martini but it was close to Benihana and the ambience is really nice. I’m still trying to figure out why they call it Blue Martini, lol! I get the Martini part, they have so many different flavors of martinis you wouldn’t believe it. We actually didnt stay long; I wanted to dance because that’s what I do! 🤣🤣 The music just wasn’t get down music: but it was a good way to celebrate my 38th year on this planet.
