Sometimes Opposites Don’t Attract

Hello beautiful people!

So as most of you know I recently celebrated my 38th birthday. I am a person that has always loved birthdays. Maybe it’s because I like cake and ice cream or maybe I just like to party and celebrate but regardless I love birthdays. I believe when you celebrate you should always do it big no matter what your age, gender, or background! Just enjoy your life!

For my second birthday dinner I went to a new place called Ford’s Garage. Ford’s Garage has Gourmet Burgers and handcrafted cocktails. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful! I mean the Ambiance was stunning. There’s a view of a Lake; it’s fabulous. It’s so funny how we overpay for something as simple as a hamburger.

In my humble opinion if a burger is cooked right all it needs on it is a little bit of ketchup and mustard. However, a few toppings never hurt. I personally just like cheddar cheese, ketchup and some mayo but I’ll take lettuce and tomato.

Ford’s Garage was trying to be different with their menu and they have a burger with peanut butter on it. I have never thought to try a burger with peanut butter and so I didn’t, lol! My friend Nadia tried it though. She had the peanut butter on the side,  so she could be in charge of how much was on spread on. The verdict was sometimes opposites don’t attract . She said the peanut butter overpowered all the other flavors on the burger. It didn’t enhance just overtook the entire burger. The face she made was priceless.

Although the peanut butter burger wasn’t a hit with her, all the other food was tasty! A good burger is one of my favorite things to eat and I was impressed with my burger! How many of you would try a hamburger with peanut butter? How many of you have tried one?

It made me think of food I like that doesn’t quite go together. Like French fries dipped in ice cream. Popcorn and Skittles. Grilled cheese smothered with syrup on top ( don’t ask). That’s all I can think of at the moment, lol! As much as I like to eat you would think I’m more adventurous when it comes to food.

What I do know is that, opposites don’t always attract! Putting peanut butter on a hamburger is not a my food to try list!
