The day that this happened I was standing in my living room and I called my best friend at the time to tell her happy birthday. She said to me yeah happy birthday a plane just crashed into the World Trade Center. I was like what did you say and she said turn on your TV. I will remember this day for the rest of my life.
It all felt like a nightmare I just couldn’t believe this was really happening and I didn’t even know what to do. I guess maybe the word surreal would Define how I was feeling at the time but it was nuts.
I remember when they published newspapers and you could see people jumping out of the windows of the World Trade Centers. It was the most heartbreaking thing I had ever seen 💔 .
The way everyone came together after this happened was such a beautiful thing. I wish it was something that we could do again without a tragic thing happening.
