Three years ago today at 8:32am my sweet Onyx took his last breath in my arms 🥺. It was one of the most heartbreaking things I’ve ever experienced in my life. I have missed him everyday since. I would be lying if I said I didn’t shed some tears writing this. They say time heals all wounds, I’m still waiting………..
Maybe because him and Dusty were the only two next to me everyday when I was going through some of my most difficult things in life. Him and Dusty were always by my side. He was even there when Dusty died 😔. So, yes, I still miss my dog! It’s something only dog lovers can understand.
He was my 25th birthday present and to this day, he’s still the best present I’ve ever received 💗. People often get another pup after losing one but I can’t. I feel like I’d always compare the new pup to Onyx and Dusty. That wouldn’t be fair at all. I know in time I will be, but I’m not there yet!
To my Onyx, thank you showing me at unconditional love, true friendship, and loyalty truly looked like! I hope you and your other best friend, our best, your brother, Dusty, are having a ball in rainbow 🌈 Bridge
