A good cry!

I sat in my car the other day and closed my eyes for several minutes. For reasons I understood I wanted to cry. For reasons I didn’t understand people can just be so terrible when it comes to gratuity. It comes with the territory but it still hurts. I held back the tears but sometimes its good to cry!

I do believe crying is good for the soul! I’m not much of a crier but occasionally a good cry is much needed. In my line of work, hospitality, being a server/bartender. My God it’s rough 😪. Sometimes you work your ass off and there’s no reward. You have people talk to you like you’re the scum of the earth. They run you into the ground. You pick up after their children all because allegedly it’s your job and then they don’t tip you. Yes, that can and will make you cry! Why? Because you have bills to pay.

That’s not the only reason to cry! Life is hard 😪. Being away from family. Watching people you love get older, start to forget things and knowing there’s nothing you can do about it. Seeing the world around you change. Seeing your friendship change and grow apart. Seeing people you love get get sick and not be there!

Yes, a good cry is good for the soul! Sometimes a couple of good cries is good for the soul! There’s nothing wrong with crying. Try to be present when you can in loved ones lives ❤
