Breast Cancer Awareness 🎀 Month!

Good morning beautiful humans, happy Tuesday! It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, you know that, right? October is one of my favorite months. Actually my 2nd favorite month. Why? Well, my favorite person in the entire world birthday is this month, my Mother. Halloween 🎃, Fall starts, The weather starts getting nicer, I can wear boots, a plethora of slasher films come on, great colors come out, and its Breast Cancer Awareness Month! That means I get to wear lots of pink, which is one of my favorite colors! Pinktober!

Acknowledging breast cancer is very dear to me because as you know my best friend Heather passed away from breast cancer eight years ago. It was such a tragedy and it still hurts my heart. When she found out she was already in late stage 3. Well, she had a mastectomy and we thought she was in the clear. She was for a year or two and the cancer came back but in her lungs and spread to her brain and soon after she died. I was devastated, i still am.

Words cannot describe how much I miss her. I think in my subconscious I wear pink almost everyday because of her. If I’m being honest I didn’t really like pink until I started acknowledging breast cancer.

I wish I had pictures to share of her but back then we didn’t take alot of pictures. All the time I spent with her, we rarely used our phones, that is one of my biggest regrets. I still carry her memory in my heart.

Make sure you get your mammogram if you’re over the age of 40. Do your self breast exams every month, and take care of yourself. We only get one life! It’s precious.
