I just wanted to show some appreciation for my best friend today. I’m talking about my old man, my luv, my Onyx. He’s been by my side for almost 15 years. I can’t tell you how much joy this little guy brings me but I’ll try.
His very presence makes me happy. Seeing his face when I get home from work makes everything better, even if I’m already happy. Life is better with a dog!
When I got my guy almost 15 years ago, he’ll actually be 15 later this month, I had no idea what a journey it would be. He taught me patience, unconditional love, and the true meaning of forgiveness. It’s crazy the things we learn from our pups.
Friends have come and gone but my Onyx has never left my side. I know one day he will leave me but it won’t be his choice. He can’t live forever so I treasure everyday I have him. I truly believe in investing in a dog. They’re the definition of love!
