Interview with my Mother

Good morning beautiful humans, happy Sunday! It’s a great day today, its Mother’s Day and I have the best one. I bet most people feel that way, lol! Thank you for stopping by, well, come on in…..

Have you ever seen anyone so beautiful?? Those cheekbones, those lips, her skin, and her fantastic skin color. My Mother is stunning and I adore no one on the planet more. She is everything and more.

Life is so much better when you have a supportive, caring, understanding, selfless Mother. She has always been my biggest fan. I’ve told you before that I played basketball in middle school. She came to all of my games even though I didn’t start and I wasn’t very good, lol!

I ran track from middle through high school. I was much better at track than basketball. Fastest girl in the county for two years I think. She was definitely at all of my track meets. Whether it was sporting events, graduations, I needed a hug, a baptism, or whatever, she’s always there!

So, I had an interview with her because unlike me, my Mother didn’t have the pleasure of having her Mother around for those kind of things. Her Mother passed away when she was 16 years old 🥺. My siblings and I never had the pleasure of meeting her.

What is the best part about being a mother? My kids are the best part of being a Mother.

You lost your mother at age 16 which is very young how did you cope with that and how to did you feel? I had my Dad and the rest of my family to lean on. When my Mother passed away I felt like it was her fault, like she abandoned me.

If you could see your mother for one hour what would you say to her? I would tell her that I miss her. I would tell her that I wish she could’ve met her grandkids.

What did you like most about your mom? I loved everything about her. She was like the nurse of the neighborhood. Everyone always came to her for advice. I still miss her. She’s been gone for over 50 years and I still miss her.

Do you think she would be proud of you? Yes, she would be very proud of me. I’m just like her. She’d say I’m a good Mother. She would be proud.

Are you proud of us? Oh yeah! I’m proud of my kids. My kids are my pride and joy. My kids are the best thing I got out of my marriage!

Which one of us is most like you? Well, all of you have apart of me in you but Danielle is the most like me. Its because of her temper but she’s getting better.

What is your favorite past time? On Sundays my sisters and I would get together and have girl day. We would have strawberry daiquiris and talk for hours. I really miss that.

Do you have any regrets? No, I have not regrets.

I love talking to my Mother. I love the sound of her voice. Its my favorite sound in the world. As I’ve gotten older, I realize that mothers really do know best. It can really be annoying, lol!
