All we have is our word!

I have a friend that I’ve known for quite sometime. He’s constantly telling me all these nice things he’s going to do for me. Mind you, I never ask for these things. The other day I said to him, I take almost everything you say to me with a grain of salt because you almost never do anything you say you will.

This was happening over text. Of course he didnt respond for quite sometime. I think he was surprised that I said that to him. Usually when he tells me he’s going to do something for me I’ll respond by saying yay and a heart emoji. I wasn’t in the mood that day.

As people we have to realize that all we have is our word. Once people dont believe in our words what do we have? There was a saying back in the day, “Word is bond!” That still holds true. When you tell someone your going to do something, simply just do it. If you offer someone something, don’t offer it if you cant really do it or if you’re not being sincere. This goes for me to!

I hope I’m never the person that people look at and say she never does what she says she will. I hope I’m never the person that isn’t trustworthy. I don’t want to be the one with false promises.

Its 2020 and I didn’t make many resolutions but one of them is to do what I say I will. Be more accountable. Thanks for reading my blog.
