I’m Okay with Being a Nerd!

Good morning beautiful humans, happy Thursday! Thank you for spending part of your morning with me or evening depending on where you live in the world. Welcome to life with Lane, my life through words, pictures, and food!

As you all may know, I live in Orlando. Better yet known as tourist town or place where Mickey Mouse lives. Some may call it home to the Transformers, lol! Well, August 29, Galaxy’s Edge will be opening. For those of you that don’t know what that is, its the Star Wars park in Hollywood Studios at Disney. Yes, Star Wars fans from all over the world will be piling into Orlando for this historic event.

I’m not sure if its allowed but I imagine people will be showing up dressed as Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, etc. Many people will call these fans nerd. It made me think, I myself am a nerd and I’m okay with that!

You better believe when Wonder Woman 2 comes out next year I’m going to the theater dressed up in costume, lol! Did I mention I like to dress up for no reason and take pictures of myself?

When I saw the first movie from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, I loved it so much I watched the 2nd one immediately afterwards. I thought it was like the best movie ever. In my dreams I’m a fairy and I have a pet dragon named Midnight Torch. Don’t ask where I got that name from.

I’m convinced years ago dragons really existed. I mean what else lived in caves? Years ago I found out my Mother believes the exact same thing. So, maybe I got some of my imagination from her.

My idea of a good weekend is reading a really good book with a few glasses of wine and my pup by the side. I’m fascinated by dinosaurs. I wanted to be an archaeologist when I was in elementary school. Yes, I’m a nerd, or at least I am when I think of what my definition of a nerd is. I’m okay with it!
