Life with Lane:”My Five Favorite Feel Good Movies!”

Good morning beautiful humans, happy Friday! Thank you for spending part of your morning with me or evening depending on where you live in this great big world. Welcome to Life with Lane, my life through words, pictures, and food!

Today I wanted to share with you my 5 go to movies when I’m having a bad day and I want to feel better.

I’ve written about this movie before, the fantastic Secretariat. It stars the lovely Diane Lane as Penny Chenery. Its about the horse that God built and his journey as the best race horse ever! This movie gave me so many emotions and so many chills. This movie touched my soul and I could literally watch it every single day. It makes you believe. It makes you love horses and see they were made to run. Great thing is, it’s a family movie! Everyone can enjoy it!

Secretariat

I saw the movie, Where the Heart Is, so many years ago and it is still one of my favorites. Natalie Portman and Ashley Judd do such an amazing job in this movie. Their chemistry is beautiful to watch and I simply just love it. This is another movie that I could watch every single day. Its one of those feel good movies that’s good for your soul. Its about friendship, family, and love. Most importantly its about forgiveness.

Where the Heart Is!

I saw Wizard of Oz as a child and I thought it was the neatest thing ever. I had never seem shoes like Dorothy’s and I wanted a pair so bad. I love Dorothy so much that I recently did a photoshoot dressed like her. This is a classic movie and it can never be remade. When I was growing up, we always watched this movie as a family around Halloween time I think.

Wizard of Oz!

My oldest sister Karren had me watch this movie maybe about 10 years ago and ever since then I have been hooked. Sandra Bullock is my favorite actress, so that’s a plus. This movie is truly about family and friendship. Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love my family, so this movie is very dear to me. It’s great for a girls night. I love love this movie!

Divine Secrets of the
Ya-Ya Sisterhood

I was a senior in high school the first time I saw the movie Grease. I had just got home from church and my stepdad had his tv on CW. The movie was on the part where they were doing the hand-jive at the dance. I sat down and started watching and I stayed there for the rest of the movie. I have been a fan ever since that day. I thought that scene was the best thing I had ever seen on a movie, lol! Its a movie the entire family can enjoy. It makes you feel better about life.
