I’ve Got the Spirit

Good morning beautiful humans, Happy Wednesday. Thank you for spending part of your morning with me or night depending on where you live in the world. Welcome to Life with Lane, my life through words, pictures, and food!

When I say I’ve got the Spirit, I mean Spirit Airlines. All sarcasm by the way, lol! I booked my flight to Paris without realizing that the first leg was through Spirit. Had I known I would not have booked my flight. 

When I got to the airport I was already checked in. However, because I had carry on bags (they were very small) I had to pay for them. The cost was $45 per small bag. $60 if I didn’t pay at the counter and I paid before I got on the plane.

So, the first line I got in, it was to pay for my carry on bag. Then I had to get in line again to drop my bag off. I was in line for 25 minutes to pay for my bags and the second line for a additional 25 minutes to hand my bag to a customer service person. This is all before I got in line for security. That was another half hour by the way but that wasn’t the airlines fault. 

Once I boarded the plan, I had no idea they would charge for water and pretzels. On my 6 hour flight to Paris, I was not provided with water or a lite snack unless I paid for it. Yes, you heard me right. On a 6 hour flight they will let you go without water and a snack if you don’t order and pay for it. They do not provide you with water!

If you haven’t figured it out by now, I will never fly with Spirit Airlines ever again. As a matter of fact, I suggest no one else does either. How do they let you travel to another country and not provide you with food or water? How do you charge for small carry on bags? The tickets prices weren’t expensive but not cheap enough to where a meal, water, and a snack should not have been included. Never again will I fly with this airline. Listen to me when I say this, its for your own good!
