“Booked” for the Weekend

Good morning beautiful humans, Happy International Women’s Day! Thank you for spending part of your morning with me. Welcome to Life with Lane!

Before I start, have you seen the trailer for Game of Thrones Season 8? Omg, if you haven’t, go and watch it right now. Winter is Here folks! That show definitely has some strong women on it but I am still rooting for Jon Snow…….just saying!

I have been a book worm my entire life. I mean my entire life, im sure my first word was book, lol! As a child I/we didn’t get to go on many vacations. Which was okay because I always had a book. Books give you the opportunity to go places when you have no place to go. Reading helped my already creative mind expand and it makes me smarter.

Almost nothing gives me more pleasure than reading a really good book! Now you’re probably wondering what I enjoy more than reading. Well, I love spending time with my family more than I love to read.

Lately I haven’t had much time to read.  I’ve been writing and working on my own things, so reading has been put on the back burner. I decided that this coming weekend im going to be “booked” for the weekend. My main focus is just to read a really good book; with a glass of wine and Onyx at my side.

I honestly don’t remember the last time I read an incredible book. A long time ago, the first book I ever read by Sandra Brown absolutely stunned me. Its called Breath of Scandal and at the time it was the best book as an adult I had ever read! After that I felt compelled to read all of her other books and she is my one of favorite author.

If anyone has a suggestion for a good book, please let me know! 

As a teenage my favorite author was R.L.Stine. However, back then i was into being scared and I loved horror/thrillers. Now, well im afraid of the dark and my own shadow scares me. So, please don’t suggest horror novels. I won’t read them. I’m a wimp and proud of it. Which is hilarious because I love Halloween and going to Halloween Horror Nights. I have issues 🤣
