My first blog was actually about me doing a 7-Day challenge. During that time I didn’t make it through my 7 Day Challenge because I felt like I was losing weight faster than I wanted to. However, that does not seem to be the case anymore. I am back to doing another 7 day challenge. It’s not really a challenge More of a eat healthier on a daily basis and ride my bike every morning thing.
I have been tall and slim my entire life. My metabolism has always been crazy and me and weight have never had any issues. Well, now we seem to have some major beef, lol! I blame it all on being happy and crazy in love. Well that and my love for food!
Since I met Jim I have gained 12 pounds. Did you hear what i said? I’ve gained 12 pounds. Like ten plus two. To understand how nuts this is, I haven’t gained more than 4 pounds since I was in my 20’s and I’m 38 years old. Funny thing is, when I tried to gain weight last year I couldn’t. So, I think my happiness has contributed to my weight gain.

The thing is I don’t mind having more weight on me. Curves are sexy and nothing wrong with having some cushion. My thing is, I want to have a flat stomach and no back fat, lol! Which means I have to do cardio to get the fat of my belly and turn my stomach into a six pack with crunches. I also have to cut back on eating out so much and foods that add unwanted fat to my body.
This might be hard to do when my happiness is food, lol! Jim and I are a couple that likes being out on the town and trying new places and things. Our happiness equals pounds. Good thing is, when I set my mind to something I get it done. Also, I finally notice the weight gain and I’m addressing it now and not waiting until down the road to get it off of me. The older we get the harder it is to lose weight.

When you’re a person like me that has a big appetite and looks forward to meals days away you have to take care of yourself and your health. I mean, Just look at the places we dine.
However, I feel as long as I eat in moderation and I continue my morning bike rides, squats, lunges, and lifting weights I’ll be just fine. I’m convinced being in love and having incredible happiness come with pounds. I am prepared for it now.

Side Note! I do a 2 to 3 mile bike ride every morning. You might think to yourself, that doesn’t take long. Well, you would be right and that is the point. Get’er done and get your day started!
