What Are You Grateful For?

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and it is my favorite holiday ever! I love it more than Christmas and I even love it more than Halloween. I’m not really sure if Halloween is a holiday but I really love it. The reason I love Thanksgiving is because it is a holiday where all of us are together. All of us are together under one roof celebrating family, love, and togetherness. On top of that I get to eat delicious food watch, football, be around all my immediate family and drink lots of wine!

This Thanksgiving will be more special than normal because it will be my last Thanksgiving with my family for the next 2 years. Usually when my sister and I go home for Thanksgiving we arrive the Wednesday before. However, this year we went the Saturday before so I could spend a week with my family instead of 3 or 4 days.

I get to go to my Aunts house and drink strawberry daiquiris and eat fried fish with coleslaw. I’ll take my niece and nephew to see the new Grinch movie. I’ll even go to the casino with my beautiful Mother! Maybe I’ll even go black Friday shopping with my brother. Well, more like Black Friday watching because I hate shopping 🤣🤣. I’ll just be there for moral support and watch my brother shop!

I love being around my family we have a really good relationship. I am not one of those people who is ready to go home after being around their family for 3 or 4 days. I think growing up in a single household family made our family bond stronger. Therefore we can be around each other for long periods of time and not get on each other’s nerves.

As I stated in one of my blogs from a few months back; we were a family that sits around the table and has dinner together and that was really important to us. We have family traditions and family values and we are a very close knit, loving, trusting, and loyal family. Yes, there have been arguments and fights but we get over it and move on. That’s what families do!

So, on this Thanksgiving and every other one I am grateful for the family that God has given me! I would never choose any other one. I am grateful or my pups Dusty and Onyx; 13 years strong. I am grateful for my friends that have stuck by my side for all these years; especially Cassy! She’s been my rock. My friend Karla, thank you so much! I am grateful for my health. I am grateful for my Scion, lol! Going over 12 years now with no issues and soon I will have to separate from her but we’ve had a good run! Lastly, I am grateful for my Jim! The man of my dreams. Actually he’s even better than what I dreamed of! He’s living proof that dreams do come true! God is so good!
