Good morning beautiful humans, happy Resurrection Day! Most of you may call it Easter Sunday, I know I did up until recently. No matter what you call it, the meaning should still be the same. He is Risen ๐

Easter is different this year because we’re in quarantine but the meaning is still the same. He is RISEN! Easter has always been one of my favorites. Probably since I was a child. I loved getting a new dress, my hair done, dyeing eggs, my basket, the egg hunt, and of course the food!
I also loved the programs at church. My old church, Pine Grove, always put on great Easter Programs. I even remember my speech from when I was like 5. Why I remember this one I have no idea. It was called, I too.
“Jesus died and I know why. It’s very plain to see. He gave his life so that I could live, yes he did he all for me. My Jesus loved me oh so much, he wanted you to know. That I could live with him someday, the bible tells me so!”
I barely remember things from when I was young but that has always stuck with me. Another reason I love Easter/Resurrection Day is because of my Mama Lily, my wonderful step-in grandmother. One day after church on Easter Sunday, she sat down with me and explained to me what the eggs represented. Up until then I never understood the significance.
The egg represents new life. Egg represents purity and hope. The shell is the tomb from which Jesus walked out of when he was reborn. Jesus is the yolk if I’m remembering right. There you have it. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
I miss my Mama Lily all the time, she was truly the only grandmother I ever really had ๐ฅบ๐ฅบ. You see shows were grandmothers bake cookies and cakes and spend time with their grandkids. See made the best pound and lemon cakes in the whole world. I’ve never tasted better. She always dressed so beautifully, especially on Sundays for church. Sorry, I got off track. I could probably talk about her all day. She was amazing and I loved her dearly, especially when I got older.
