I’m 2 days late so forgive me. I didn’t know until yesterday. Friday was World Autism Day!
The definition of autism is a developmental disorder of variable severity that is characterized by difficulty in social interaction and communication and by restricted or repetitive patterns or thought and behavior. (According to Oxford)
In a simpler term it means having difficulty communicating and interacting.
I can’t imagine what its like having autism but it seems like it its incredibly difficult. My heart goes out to anyone that is autistic and any parent that has an autistic child.
Can you imagine wanting to communicate and not knowing how to do it properly? Wanting to speak but no words will come out? It breaks my heart. I used to work at a daycare and we had 1 child that had autism. I must say he was very pleasant. It was awhile ago but I remember him. He had blonde hair and he was always quiet and he smiled alot.
I know every case is different because there are different types. We should all educate ourselves on this and be sensitive when it comes to things of this matter.
