Good morning beautiful humans, Happy Thursday! Thank you for checking out my blog today, come on in!

Today I want to talk to you about the wonderful Tyler Perry. I became a fan of his years ago when I saw one of his plays here in Orlando at the convention center. It was so long ago I don’t remember which play but I do know that it was awesome. Funny thing is, when some people showed up late to the play, he called them out during the middle of his performance when he was “Madea”. It was hilarious.
I will admit that I’m mostly a fan of his more dramatic movies as opposed to his comedies. Not because I don’t think they’re funny but because I’m just a fan of drama/thrillers in general. Dramas/thrillers are my favorite genre. My favorite Tyler Perry movie is The Family That Prays and Acrimony. I did however truly enjoy Meet the Browns and A Madea Christmas.
I have to admit my favorite part of A Madea Christmas and the reason it’s one of my favorites is because of this certain line. She got fired and she was told her check would be sent in the mail. Her response was and I quote, “I didn’t mail my work, I want my money now!” PRICELESS!! Lol.

“When you haven’t forgiven those who’ve hurt you, you turn your back against your future. When you do forgive, you start walking forward.”
Last week, I think it was last week, Tyler Perry was the first African American to open a production studio. The studio cost $250 million dollars and it sits on 330 acres in Atlanta. The studio was once a Confederate Army base. It is now owned by a black man and that black man is Tyler Perry!

The studio is bigger than Disney, Warner Bros. and Paramount combined. It consist of 12 sound stages. There’s a replica of the White House. There’s also a mock jumbo jet, hospital set, trailer park, airport terminal, and a suburban subdivision. Its absolutely massive. Oh and as a side note, his movies have grossed more than 1.6 billion dollars worldwide.
What I love about Tyler Perry, even though I think some of his movies are pure foolishness, is that he employs hundreds of African Americans. I’m not an actor but I know it can be hard getting work as an African American and he gives them a chance. He’s opened so many doors and for that alone I salute him.
Of course I love his drive, ambition, and his talent. He is definitely a role model, someone you wouldn’t mind your kid wanting to be like. He’s a champion, a philanthropist, activist, writer, director, and actor. He is black Excellence at its FINEST!
Thank you for reading my blog! What do you think of Tyler Perry movies? Have you seen any of them? Have a wonderful blessed day and always be kind! Follow me on Instagram http://www.instagram.comlifewithlane14

Whether one is a fan of his movies or not, one must be a fan of him as a person as he has done so much for the black community. He is indeed iconic.
