Good morning beautiful humans, happy Saturday! How was your week? I hope it was filled with love, happiness, peace, friendship, and sunshine! Welcome to reasons I smiled this week, 13th edition!

Fall is almost amongst us but I used one of the last warm Sunday’s to wear my new bikini. I got that bikini about 2 months ago and I haven’t had the chance to wear it. So, I was like #hotgirlsummer is over but let me wear this before Summer is truly over. I didn’t just sit around the house in it, I actually went to the pool. It felt so nice out. Absolutely a beautiful day. I love my new bikini and my wrap is to die for. I was all smiles!

My best friend Cassy and I went to tour the venue and pick the menu for her baby shower. We took this picture right after we had dinner. Of course we were both all smiles after a good meal and picking the venue. She’s so excited to be having a girl. I’m excited I get to buy a bunch of pink, lol! Hopefully she doesn’t grow up to hate it because I bought her so much.

This didn’t make me smile but I felt justice was served for Botham Jean. Although Amber Guyger only got 10 years for murdering him and not trying to save him, that’s a start. More often than not, these cops are not convicted for murdering black people. As a matter of fact, most of us didn’t believe she would be convicted at all. We’ve been to let down in the past to believe justice would be served. God rest his soul and grant his family peace.

I had delicious brunch with my co worker/friend Amanda. We did the bottomless mimosas at Bonefish Grill and had omelettes. The food was good as always but the company was better. When you become friends with a person that has been through what you’ve been through, you click better. You see eye to eye and you understand each other better. It’s quite lovely.

I had bottomless mimosas and they were delicious. I actually had bellinis; which is bubbles and peach juice. I was introduced to bellinis last year and ever since I’ve been hooked. If you ever get the chance to try one, do it! They are amazing!

I had sister day with my lil sister Danielle. Although that’s not a picture from the day because we didn’t take one but we were just as happy! We watched ridiculous horror movies, ate pizza, and drank beer. It was so much fun! Such an amazing week! God is good!
