Good morning beautiful humans, Happy Friday! Thank you for spending part of your morning with me or evening depending on where you live in this great big world! Welcome to Life with Lane; my life through words, pictures, and food!

A few years ago I had the pleasure of going to Comic Con in Chicago. So, I thought I would share my experience with you. I was strolling through my pictures and remembered how much fun this was. Then I said to myself, I want to write about this and share it with you guys.

Comic Con Chicago was actually my first time in Chicago. The picture above is a guy that was entered into a costume contest. He didn’t win but his shoes are like some of the most creative I’ve ever seen. I was there with the company I used to work for. We had a booth and we were selling our comic book, T-shirts, and other items.

This has to be the most accurate costume ever. I mean with he pulled up the mask, he even had what Jason’s face looked like underneath. I’m talking about the mangled rotting face. The makeup was spot on. I was so impressed.
One my way going go the expo hall to get set-up, I passed Stan Lee in the hallway. When I was going downstairs to have breakfast, I passed Lou Ferrigno. I was like, “OMG, it’s the Incredible Hulk!” He so pretended like he didn’t see me, lol.
I’m not a Walking Dead fan but Norman Reedus was at the table next to me having breakfast. I had to wave at him, he waved back. I said to myself, “Darryl just waved at me!” It was such a wonderful experience.
I didn’t take pictures because I didn’t realize it was Stan Lee until after the fact. Plus, I didnt have my phone in my hand. It would’ve been rude to take a picture of Norman while he was eating breakfast and Lou, well I mean he’s the Incredible Hulk. Lol!

Since I was in Chicago I had to have deep dish pizza. Man, that pizza was absolutely delicious. I thought I had deep dish pizza before but I was wrong. That was unlike any pizza I ever had. I’m indeed a foodie.

Oh, I even got to see a friendly version of Freddy Kruger. He’s my favorite out of all of the crazed boogey men, lol! Overall, Chicago Comic Con was great and I would love to go again.
