I wasn’t going to do a blog today. Then I found out that Sunday was the 56th Anniversary of the bombing of the church in Alabama that killed those 4 little black girls.

When I started my blog last year, I said I wanted to write about things that matter; this matters! Sometimes I write about silly stuff and things that humor me. Mostly, I try to write about things that matter to me.
Denise McNair, Addie Mae Collins, Carole Robertson, and Cynthia Wesley were 4 innocent little girls that were murdered. They were murderer by KKK members.

Those little girls look like me when I was growing up. Those little girls could have easily been a family member of mine. One of those little girls could have been my mother.
They were robbed of their lives because of hate. They never got the chance to grow up, experience life. They never got to finish school, go to college, get married, or have kids. They never really got a chance to live. We can never forget what happened to those 4 little black girls.
Thanks for reading my blog! Have a wonderful blessed day and always be kind!

There is no room for hate. Maybe one day, as a species we’ll learn this.

So awful, made worse by the fact that there are still too many people in this country with hate in their hearts.

It’s so strange to me, the desire to end a life because of the color of one’s skin. I’ve never understood that kind of hatred, that kind of senseless “I hate you because you are black,” but I do understand the love it takes to highlight the loss of those lives. Thank you so much for posting this today.

Thank you so much for sharing this story. Unfortunately, this type of white supremacy persists today. I am the Black Boarder and my name is not important, but my story is. Visit theblackboarder.com to read the true story of a black girl at one of the nation’s most elite boarding school.
