I found out this morning that today is national dog day. So, I wanted to take this time to shout out to my wonderful dog, my little old man, my Onyx Lane!

This little dog has been by my side for the past 14 years. He’s brought me so much joy. I dont even remember what I did with my time before I had him.

Celebrating his 14th birthday was such a wonderful day. I was with my family in Alabama. They got to celebrate with us. He doesn’t look happy on the picture but he was overjoyed!

Even on my sad days he’s my sunshine! If you don’t have a dog, I encourage you to get one. In addition to it being national dog day and celebrating our pups, it’s to encourage people to adopt a dog! Having a dog is good for the soul! It prolongs life. I don’t know if that’s true or not, lol! I feel like it has to be true though.

My best friend Cassy and her husband adopted this little guy a month ago. He was going to be put down and they saved him. Now he has a home. A home with a set of twins and another pup as a best friend. I didn’t adopt Onyx but way in the future my next pup will be adopted.

I can’t log off without talking about my Dusty! I still miss you everyday. You made me a better person. You taught me patience and kindness. You taught me what unconditional love is. Onyx and I will forever love and miss you. I know you’re happy in Rainbow Bridge and one day we will see you again.
God did such an amazing thing when he created dogs. I encourage you to invest in getting one! Happy National Dog Day!

Yessssss I agree with you 100% God did a wonderful thing creating dogs! They truly are a blessing and their little love is one of the best kind of love to have!
