A Very Demanding Old Man!

Good morning beautiful humans, happy Easter Monday! Yes, that is a thing,  according to my calendar. Thank you for spending part of the morning with me or evening depending on where you are in this great big world. Welcome to Life with Lane, my life through words, pictures, and food!

Me and my old man!

As you may know yesterday was Easter Sunday. I have a lot of things going on and I didn’t really feel like doing much. I had a migraine but it wasn’t a bad one but it was still a migraine. I have some personal things going on as well, so all I wanted to do yesterday morning was just mope around and in stay in my bed.

I usually wake up around 7:00 a.m. each morning to take on Onyx out for a walk. That’s what I did yesterday morning. However around 930, 10:00 a.m. He came into the room and he pretty much yelled at me in the form of a bark. I looked at him and I said you’ve already been out you need to calm down. He did it again. That meant he had to go out. So, I got out of bed and I took him on an extremely long walk. He never once used the bathroom.

God used my dog to get me up, out of the bed, and doing my goals for the day. He didn’t want me to be sad, moping around, and wasting a beautiful day lying in bed. How do I know this? Because as I said,  when I took Onyx out for that really long walk,  he didn’t do his business!

Yesterday was such a beautiful day! I didn’t need to waste it being inside and sad. When Onyx and I came back in the house he gives me that look as he waits by the fridge. That look means I need my snacks now and I won’t move until I get them. He’s very demanding that old man, lol! He gets his snacks and then I went back into my room.

I didn’t get in the bed but I got down on my knees and I prayed. I prayed for quite a while and when I finished and looked over, Onyx was next to me asleep. Maybe he was praying to. All I know is although my little old man is very demanding, he is always by my side. God did such an amazing thing when he created dogs! After all, God spelled backwards is dog!

God can use anything to get through to us. Thank you for reading my blog.  I hope you enjoyed it. Have a wonderful blessed day and always be kind! Follow me on Instagram @lifewithlane14
