My first train Ride

Good morning beautiful humans, Happy Easter/Resurrection Sunday! Thank you for spending part of your morning with me or afternoon depending on where you are in the world! Welcome to Life with Lane, my life through words, pictures, and food!

My First Train Ride

Before I start I just want to say Happy Easter Sunday again. I will be spending mine with my best pup Onyx! He has fallen back to sleep since our walk this morning, lol! The life of a dog. One more thing, has anyone else noticed that Easter morning is always chilly? Why is that?

Omg, so I went on my first train ride while we were in Europe. Jim decided it would be nice to take a train from Paris to Switzerland instead of a flight. He said the scenery would be better and the check in process is less of a hassle and he was right.

I mean he’s almost always right and its very annoying, lol! You only have to be to the train station 2 minutes before take-off! I felt like I was in a movie when I was on the train. I didn’t want it to end. Best part was that I got to experience this with the man of my dreams! I just came from the city of love with my love! Life is just beautiful.

Jim and I!

Anyway, back to this train ride from Paris to Switzerland. The scenery was to die for. The train was going so fast but it wasn’t, lol! Its just so hard to describe. It was like I was truly in a movie. You know when you watch a movie and scenery is just flying by in the background. Well, that’s how it was on the train. It was so neat and I was here for it.

We had first class tickets so we were served endless wine or beer or whatever we wanted. We were also served delicious food. As I mentioned before, as a self proclaimed foodie, it is my mission to eat everything from everywhere. Or should I say try everything from everywhere. We were served a mushroom and pepper quiche with a pasta salad. I didn’t expect it to be that good but it was.

The food was delicious

My taste buds were just as surprised as me, lol! We also had rolls and we got more wine. Surprisingly we were given two different desserts after our meal. As someone who doesn’t really like desserts, yes you heard me right, I don’t really like dessert, it was really good. I have no idea what it was though, lol!

Hello Dessert!

My first train ride was a wonderful experience. I couldn’t even feel the train moving. The scenery was beautiful, the food was delicious, the check in process was simple, and the company was the best EVER! My Jim is so much fun. Getting our tickets in advance helped out a lot. I suggest doing that.
