I Never Had a Green Thumb

When I was in the 3rd grade, I attempted to grow a tomato plant. It started out so well, I was so happy. Then I got sick and missed some days from school. Although my classmate Buford watered my plant for me. It was downhill from there. My tomato plant died a terrible death, lol. Since then I haven’t been able to grow plants. I don’t have a green thumb.

The spectacular flower and garden festival at Epcot started yesterday. I absolutely love it. It is one of my favorite things to attend. They have so many of the Disney characters in the form of flowers. It is incredibly neat and beautiful. Although the process is simple once they show you how it’s done. I’m still in complete awe. 

When anyone is able to do a craft that I absolutely cannot I admire them. Usually when people can’t do something or can’t comprehend they think it’s stupid, useless, or ridiculous. Like with science, math, or poetry. I happen to love all of those things; poetry is recent though.

Gardening may seen very easy. You know, you dig a hole, you throw in a plant or seeds, then you water it, and viola, a star is born! Lol, not so much. If it was that simple to garden everyone would be doing it.

The flower and garden festival is full of amazing flowers, gardens, plants, art, and I can’t forget the food. Me forgetting food is like my dog forgetting the toy I hid behind the chair before his walk. Its not going to happen.

My favorite display last year was beauty and the beast. Well, a close tie would be Snow White and Lion King. It was just so neat. It made me want to grow my own garden. I’m talking flowers, fruits and vegetables. Then I remembered that I’m a writer. I have fingers but not a green thumb, lol.

The thing about life is knowing to stay in your lane. Maybe one day I will try to grow one plant and one vegetable. However, if can’t have something that looks like the displays at the Epcot, why even try?
