A Sweet Christmas “Dumplin”

Good morning beautiful humans, Happy Sunday! Thanks for spending part of it with me!

I decided to take a break from watching all of a Lifetime and Hallmark movie channel Christmas movies. After all every movie is the exact same. They all have the same plot; all the main characters look exactly alike, and they’re all predictable, lol! I still love all of the movies thought.ย  After all, I’m a hopeless romantic ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

I switched over to Netflix and I was scrolling through and I saw Jennifer Aniston’sย  face and she starred in a new movie called “Dumplin”. First off, I love Jennifer Aniston. She rarely plays in movies that aren’t good. So, obviously I had to watch it! It didn’t disappoint. She was fantastic in this movie.

However, she wasn’t the only reason the movie was good! The main characters were lovely. The movie also starred a beautiful girl that I’ve never seen before. Her name is Danielle McDonald. She was superb and I can’t wait to see her in more movies.

I don’t want to give too much of the movie away because I think everyone should watch it; especially young people. It’s such a wonderful movie with a great message. It’s also a movie that the entire family can watch.

The movie is about family, friendships, a beauty pageant, bullying, self-esteem, and so much more. Things that need to be talked about more in homes, schools, and everywhere else. Sometimes we tend to look over issues that are sensitive. We need to stop doing that.

The thing I liked most about this movie is how confident the ladies were that weren’t a size two. In addition to them not being a size two, mostly everyone didn’t make it an issue that they weren’t walking barbie dolls!

Another beautiful thing about this movie is the friendship and how the girls (the women) stuck up for each other. It was a lovely thing to watch. Us women need to stick together. I think we all can learn something from watching this very well written sweet movie!

So, call over some family and friends, pop some popcorn and watch the movie. It will make you happy.

Before I finish I want to give a quick list of what I learned from this movie.

1. Never assume anything about anyone.

2. Not all men like size 2 girls.

3. There’s nothing wrong with being a full figured woman.

4. Standing up for others is one of theย  best things we can do.

5. Having supportive friends makes life better.

6. Confidence is EVERYTHING!!

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!! Thanks for reading my blog! I hope you enjoyed. Follow me on Instagram @lashaunlee36

I am glad that the movie industry isn’t just showing size 2 women and addressing bullying .
